PDO Threads

PDO THREADS

PDO threads are less invasive and can be completed without the need for a scalpel in less than 30 minutes. A dissolvable suture is used during a thread lift procedure to tighten and raise your skin. The PDO thread lift technique increases the skin’s production of collagen. A variation of PDO threads is more effective at lifting sagging skin and is best suited for skin rejuvenation. Threads can be used for many other purposes, such as creating a fox-eye appearance, a cheek lift, straightening the jawline, straightening the nose bridge, and many more. Results are immediate and gradually improve within three to four weeks after the treatment.

Areas that can be treated are:

  • Sagging Forehead and Droopy Eyebrows.
  • Sagging Eyelid or Cat Eye Look.
  • Rejuvenating and Lifting Mid-face.
  • Rhino Nose.
  • Low or Blunt Nasal Tip.
  • Softening The Nasolabial Folds.
  • Sagging Jowls.
  • Double Chin or Neck.
  • Sagging and Wrinkled Neck.

PROCESS

PDO threads are inserted in your skin by a cannula or needle. Once the thread reaches its end point, it will be released, and the cannula will be removed. The practitioner might repeat the process multiple times to achieve the right lift, which means anywhere from one to fifteen threads might be inserted.

RISK

The risks of Fat Dissolving Injections are small as this is done by our qualified and experienced nurse. After your treatment you may have:

  • Visible sutures (especially in people with thin skin)
  • Pain.
  • Minor bruising.
  • Infection.
  • Snapping of threads.
  • Accumulation of blood (hematoma).
  • Inflammation.

RESULTS

Thread lift results typically last around nine to twelve months, depending on your body’s ability to process and eliminate the absorbable PDO sutures. Some of our clients see results lasting more than a year, though this is rarer.

DURATION OF THE RESULTS

Usually 9 – 12 months however can last up to a year at times.
